Meet the owner - Chris

Chris created Excalibur Building. Chris started his journey into building work when he was volunteering for the local scout campsite as a service crew member carrying out essential maintenance and schedule works, this was at the age of 15, and this is when he realised he had a skill and passion for building work. 

Chris is First Response first aid trained, has a full advanced DBS, and has numerous qualifications in different trades. He is a friendly and cheerful lad who loves to give back and help create spaces people will love.

After losing his father in 2019, Chris was faced with a crossroads; it was a choice between carrying on his own company, at the height of COVID, and trying to make it work. Or get a full-time job and help provide for his mother and sister with a more stable income. It was at this point that he decided to take a crack at starting his own company, under the belief that knowing his dad would be proud of him! (and hopefully he is)

And that was the start of Excalibur. Just like the sword, it was hard to get out and begin. But now, after 6 years, the strength bestowed is second to none! Going through the positives and negatives, we're still growing!
